RESTAURANT MANAGER 

Job Brief: Full-Time:

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of our business. You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. Restaurant manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals.

You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. We want you to know how to oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. Back of the house management experience is also essential, as you’ll hire qualified Cooks and Wait Staff, set work schedules, oversee food prep and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations.

We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:

Coordinating daily restaurant management operations. Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction. Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints. Regularly review product quality and research new vendors. Organize and supervise shifts. Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity. Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.

Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it. Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste. Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses. Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events. Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads).

Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices. Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.

 

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role. Proven customer service experience as a manager. Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff.Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and PeachWorks. Strong leadership, motivational and people skills. Acute financial management skills. BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus.

CHEF

Job Brief: Full-Time:

We are looking for a Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers. Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. Also, you should be familiar with sanitation regulations. If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you.Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights our guests.  

 

Chef Responsibilities Include:
Setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and food scales. Studying each recipe and gathering all necessary ingredients. Cooking food in a timely manner. Delegate tasks to kitchen staff. Inform wait staff about daily specials. Ensure appealing plate presentation. Supervise Cooks and assist as needed. Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy). Monitor food stock and place orders. Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items. Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.

Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook. Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, cast iron skillets and fryers). Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and boiling techniques. Leadership skills. Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks. Excellent time management abilities. Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes. Familiarity with sanitation regulations. Culinary school diploma preferred.

COOK

Job Brief: Part-Time

We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery.An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important.The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.

Cook Responsibilities Include:
Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment. Preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) Cooking food in various utensils or grillers. Cook food in various utensils or grillers. Check food while cooking to stir or turn.

 

Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served. Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

Check quality of ingredients. Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.

Requirements:
Proven experience as cook. Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware. Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.) Ability to follow all sanitation procedures. Ability to work in a team. Very good communication skills. Excellent physical condition and stamina. High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.

BARTENDER

Job Brief: Part-Time

We are looking for enthusiastic bartenders to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Compensation includes salary and tips. 

 

Bartender Responsibilities:
Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons. Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks. Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations.

Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails. Plan and present bar menu. Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience. Comply with all food and beverage regulations

 

Requirements:
Resume and proven work experience as a bartender. Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks. Computer literacy. Knowledge of a second language is a plus. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean. Relevant training certificate.  

WAITRESS/HOSTESS

Job Brief: Part-Time

We are looking for a skilled Waitresses to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our customers. If you are able to perform well in fast-paced environments, we’d like to meet you. To be a successful Waitress, you should be polite with our customers and make sure they enjoy their meals. You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with our Kitchen Staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.

Waitress Responsibilities Include: 

Greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. Waitress duties may require working in shifts and/or occasionally during weekends and holidays. It is the duty of our Waitresses to provide an excellent overall dining experience for our guests.
 

Provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies). Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses. Inform customers about the day’s specials. Offer menu recommendations upon request. Up-sell additional products when appropriate. Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software,order slips or by memorization

Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages order details to the Kitchen Staff. Serve food and drink orders. Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems. Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area. Deliver checks and collect bill payments. Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning.

Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties). Follow all relevant health department regulations. Provide excellent customer service to guests.

Requirements:
Work experience as a Waitress (preferred but not required). Basic math skills. Attentiveness and patience for customers. Excellent presentation skills. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Active listening and effective communication skills

Team spirit. Flexibility to work in shifts. High school diploma; food safety training is a plus but not required.  

PREP COOK

Job Brief: Part-Time

We are looking for an ambitious Prep Cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.A great prep cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Prep Cook Responsibilities Include:

Following the prep list created by chefs to plan duties. Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible. Measuring ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking. Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

 

Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc. Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.

Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines. Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Proven experience as prep cook. Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen. Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils. A team player with good communication skills. Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure. Very good physical condition and endurance. High School diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset.

DISHWASHER

Job Brief: Part-Time

We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness around our restaurant. If you want to kickstart your career in the restaurant industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations, we’d like to meet you. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings or weekends. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our customers.

 

Dishwasher Responsibilities:

Collect used dishes, plates and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately. Set up workstations before meal prep begins. Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours. Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place order requisitions with Manager when necessary. Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues. Remove garbage regularly. Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.

 

Requirements:                                                         

Work experience as a Dishwasher or on Wait Staff. Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.


Time Management Skills:
Attention to detail and sanitation rules. Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings. High school diploma is a plus.

BUSSER 

Job Brief: Part-Time

We are searching for candidates who will enjoy working with others in a fast-paced culinary environment and who have a desire to help create an enjoyable dining experience for guests. Busboys aim to support other team members by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and bringing guest needs to the attention of waitstaff. They also restock necessary items, such as napkins and straws, and may assist with washing dishes. Suitable candidates should be efficient, attentive, and have strong customer service skills.

Busser Responsibilities: 

Work with restaurant staff to create a positive dining experience for guests. Greet customers and answer questions. Alert servers when tables are in need of attention. Clean tables and remove dishes after the party leaves. Carry loads of soiled dishes to the dishwasher to be cleaned. Ensure availability of clean dishes, flatware, glasses, straws, napkins, and other dining materials. Washing dishes. Be able to remain focused and on-task during busy hours.

 

Requirements:                                                           

High School Diploma/GED. Previous restaurant experience preferred, but not necessary. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Eye for details. Ability to lift 20 lbs or more. Willing to stand or walk for extended periods. Availability to work evenings and on weekends, including holidays.
